About Marysville Pest Control

Marysville Pest Control exists to make one thing easy. You have a pest problem, you would like somebody competent to deal with it, and you would like to know what it costs before anyone starts.

What we do

We take the call, work out what you have, and get an experienced local exterminator on it. That is the whole offer, and the reason it is worth something is that the first part is where most pest problems go wrong.

A homeowner in Sunnyside sees a large black ant in the kitchen and buys a can of spray. The ant was a western carpenter ant, the spray was repellent, and the satellite colony in the bathroom wall responded by going quiet for three weeks and then coming back. A homeowner in Lakewood hears something in the attic and puts down bait. The rat died in a wall void and the smell lasted a month. A tenant near State Avenue sees a cockroach and sets off a fogger, and now there are cockroaches in three rooms instead of one cabinet.

None of that is stupidity. It is what happens when the species is never identified and the entry point is never found. So the questions on the phone are about size, colour, location, time of day and whether there was sawdust underneath, and the treatment that follows is matched to the answer.

What we will not tell you

We will not tell you a number over the phone that we cannot stand behind after somebody has looked at the property. We will not promise that your problem is a one-visit problem when it is a cockroach or a bed bug problem, because the eggs already laid will hatch no matter what gets applied. And we will not sell you a maintenance plan before the exclusion work is done, because that is a subscription rather than a solution.

If what you actually need is a plumber, or a roofer, or a gutter cleaned, you will be told that. Moisture is the engine behind most of the pest pressure on this side of the Cascades, and a great many carpenter ant calls are really water calls.

The work itself

The inspection, the treatment and the sealing are performed by an experienced local exterminator who works in Snohomish County and knows what a 1972 rambler on a vented crawl space is going to look like underneath before the hatch comes off.
